Classic Kitchen by Jill Ferrell, Cabinet Studio, Winston-Salem, NC

A 1930's Georgian home was in desperate need of an update. The family of five, two busy professionals with 3 boys, wanted aesthetic improvement and functionalilty. The white, black and red dominant colors where a natural fit for this period home.. The red and black where standard offerings from Cuisines Laurier. A special eggshell color was developed by the company's lab to match the moldings throughout the house. The floorplan evolved from 4 small rooms, including the original kitchen, to a large space with lots of natural light. Pantry storage, desk with files, deep drawers, lazy susans, pull out trash cans and tray dividers are features of the perimeter. The island anchors the room and features a wine rack, decorative toe space and seating for the whole family.
